History

At Bacton, we hope to inspire pupils’ curiosity to know more about the past, encouraging them to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments, and develop perspective and reasoned judgement. We will help pupils to understand the complexity of people’s lives, the process of change, the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups, as well as their own identity and the challenges of their time. At Bacton, our history provision will be further strengthened by celebrating and utilising our rich, inspiring local heritage and historical resources in and around Suffolk.
